Our Story
The concept for Chubbie Chips was born after visiting a local cooperage. It was noted that a lot of by-product from barrel repair and refurbishment was being wasted, often used as kindling by the business.
There had to be a better option for the product wastage as the history of the barrels was being lost along with the rich flavours that had developed and matured over time from whiskey’s, bourbon’s and fortified wines (port and sherry).
